Been an Android fan since the G1, but I’m switching to the 9860. It’s amazing.

@jack1059 …true it brings it up out of the professional relm to the ‘regular user’ but I think when BB 8 (QNX based) they will be able to push out ahead. The QNX BB Tablet O/S on my PlayBook is pure gold. I just bought the 9860, and it is very nice, but I can’t wait for a BB 8 device…

@0148251rs …that’s what I do…but that’s mostly because the majority of the stuff I have is already in .mp4

  • 0148251rs says:

how can you watch movies on blackberry ? do you convert the movies to mp4 or something

  • TheObsessedtech says:

This phone ALMOST makes me stupid enough to buy another touch screen.

Android phones are a curse for messaging! I just bought the Samsung Galaxy S2, and it is a great looking phone. The phone is a lot of fun, but it is hell to get your mail and messages. You cannot jump from application to application with such ease and breeze like you can with a Blackberry. Blackberry still ranks number one for a business and/or professional purposes–especially messaging expediency and efficiency. I do not want to tap forever just to retreive my messages.

i have to get a phone thats 3g because of my plan for sprint should i get this or something else

  • lexashine says:

Yeah this phone looks really nice and I can’t wait to get it but I guess no one is really making any movements to making those Emojis for Blackberry so those little boxes go away. I know using smilies is a teenage and young adult thing but would love to see Blackberry make some good ones.

This looks to keep rim in the game at least anyway. Its not leaping to the front of the smartphone pack, but keeps pace. Now they just need to ensure they keep up with firm ware updates as people expect timely firm ware updates / bug fixes. I’ve never been a black berry user, but seeing as im looking for a new phone, will give this a look in.

i just got this phone yesterday and it looks and feels alot better than some of the other phones out there. I love this phone. Good job Blackberry! You almost lost me to Android!

  • uzmarvel says:

Do not criticize before you play with it yourself. Go to stores who got this and try yourself. If you’re lucky of course. New BB OS7 devices are being sold out in many stores.

  • wilber223 says:

will this phone be for Verizon

  • NJNC12 says:

The phone is still slow. I have to say i was in love with BB for a long time but they are way behind on phone technology. They should have came out with a 4g phone. due core, front face cam, and get that market &app world integration together for customers. I like the playbook but they really missed on the phones. I will get a 4G LTE phone with Verizon sense they RIM just don’t get it.

  • TheBuddhaKid says:

he said a gig of ram… Lies! lolol

  • 1TuBeR09 says:

    @JaySmoothEnt nope 3G

  • kyokeun says:

@december120994 I know, 3.7 inch is just too small these days…

  • kyokeun says:

Wait? Contour display? Looks like Samsung and Google has some suing to do to Blackberry just like how Apple did to Motorola and Samsung :P

  • kyokeun says:

@JaySmoothEnt Apparently I heard that it’s gonna run on 4g but not sure

  • JaySmoothEnt says:

is the 9850 or the 9860 gonna run on 4g?
