The BlackBerry Torch 9850 / 9860 is the first all-touch RIM smartphone in a long time. How does it do without a real keyboard?

Changing languages has been useful to me, but only when I require those symbols. Normally this was only when using the Storm, but ever since I got the Torch I used it a bit less – The dedicated symbols button does the same job.

I have it.I love it but i just bought it and the battery life only lasts a day and they keyboard is kinda annoying. You also cant turn of spell check which annoys me the most cuz im 14 and i have random made up words that i type wen im casualy texting my friends and it always changes them which is annoying. The side keys shoul be allitttle bigger and itd be nice if there was a keyboard but besides that its a great phone.

no keyboard on it.. only touchscreen but it has trackpad.. such a silly phone.. i bet the trackpad is useless

  • bayuraharja says:

any types of blackberry do not offer video calls, so if u want to get video calls, use iphone or anything else which is supported 2 cameras back and front..

    Hi… :)

  • angusandleigh says:

@angusandleigh …I just found it a lot more accurate than the iPhones and Android etc. touchscreens…

  • angusandleigh says:

@Bonjour43ma I actually miss the SurePress of my old Storm, I found it a great help to the clumsy typing that I have…I could always slide my thumb over or slide to a blank spot and pull away when I made the usual error in letter selection (or for anything, not just typing) it was like a last chance thing that I don’t have anymore with this phone… I will have to get used to it I guess, …so I don’t accidentally start the wrong app, that sort of thing was impossible to do with SurePress…

  • angusandleigh says:

@1234flipflop ..I thought it was a little redundant as well, but I find it handy for some things…like scrolling around through text that I would like to edit. a lot easier than using the touch option..

  • Nintendofan4000 says:

@1234flipflop the trackpad is essential for if you want to highlight an option without clicking/ selecting it. I find it useful for my torch which, to me, is all tough cause i never use the keypad…

  • Mzitos says:

I change two or three languaje when I write to my friends, so for me is very useful.
