I forgot to say that I’d be so happy if I had a trainer like Kwonkicker(or Kwonkicker himself)..very good and thorough explanations,beautifully executed whatever he is explaining,I’d be very satisfied with him as a coach!Too bad not every coaches are like him!Thanks on the behalf of people who like your videos!:-)))))
Even my MT coach did NOT explain how to exactly hold my fist and fingers when doing punches.Kwonkicker did really go into details…I think this is the PERFECT way to teach everybody how to do things properly!He showed us things which people would consider to be less important!THANKS THANKS KWONKICKER!
I love the way Kwonkicker explains…he must be an utterly benevolent guy with the will to help others!Anyway tonight I’m going to have my MT lesson….I am eagerly looking for my STAMINA….it is lost somewhere…well hidden:-))))
@Doridori86
Try punching like Kwonkicker if it looks like a “girl punch”..
Anyway if they look like girl punches,you would not mind getting some of those “girl punches”,would you?:-)))))
To me they do not seem like girl punches….but you must be the expert then, Doridori86…show us your punches….I want to see them!
I have a question, the thing you were punching, it is shorter than you. Does it improve your punching power to someone shorter than you or it does improve both short and above you?
Very usefull, I don’t know why that’s kinda hard to teach to the students when they are starting. I guess they assume that hitting with the whole hand will make more damage. Something very alarming is that there are advance level belts that still don’t use this technique.
@FunnieBone That is only true with a single mouth piece. Double mouth pieces have a hole in the center made specifically for exhaling through the mouth when you strike. Even with the jaw tightly clinching down on the mouth piece, the hole still allows for adequate and controllable air flow. Someone who practices exhaling through the mouth should go the route of a double mouth piece.
@nishcay It’s important to breathe with every strike. You breathe out when the strike is executed and breathe in when retracting back to the guard. Although, you should learn to breathe through with your nose the whole time since a mouthpiece will be worn.
If you hold your breath while executing any series of techniques, you’ll be winded before the second round.
Breathing and footwork are the 2 most overlooked factors about a fight. and his “psh” is his kiai. Look it up…every good fighter kiais for many reasons. You can make any sound you want really, whatever works for you.
As for straight punches. These are very very important in any kickboxing style. Spend more time on them than you guys think is necissary. Believe me, it pays off.
You are a good teacher
