I also show a advanced move, and show it in slow-mo. the body roll is not by me, and I’ve just searched if there’s a tutorial on youtube. ShadeValryn has a tutorial on …

  • SilentBob420BMFJ says:

“It is not pronounced like the bird(eagles) but EE-AA-G-LES.”

    What is that all about?

  • Uraili says:

    XD That’s okay. Thank you.

  • lordtains says:

haha then I did not properly explain the basic spin well enough. sorry for that!

  • Uraili says:

Hm…I seem to always do the airspin…

  • RADRaze2KX says:

For a really good demonstration of an expert 1-handed airspin, check out my video response to LordTains’ “Staff Spinning Tutorial”, entitled “First Fire Video”… I accept your challenge to perform The Eagles, I’ll even do it with the 360 handspin… I just gotta find time. Good video, keep up the good work – RADRaze2KX

  • lordtains says:

well thats just a two-handed figure eight. For the figure eight, watch my first tutorial. Just do that with two hands(the move is not different at all)

    good luck!

  • Darkdefier says:

At exactly 3.06 you start doing a double handed spin, before demonstrating the armpit spin. I would really appreciate a tutorial on the basic spin you do there, or perhaps a link to a tutorial that shows how to do it.

    Rock on.

First of all, awesome video! Second, are you from Trollhättan? I think I recognized the house in the backround, but I’m not sure.

  • lordtains says:

  • simjacobs says:

Hi first of all I really like you’re tutorials I’m also practising on my one and this is a great help however I have a little question but what are the white thingies on you’re staff?

Sorry for the crappy English but I speak normaly Dutch (I’m from Belgium ^.^)

  • lordtains says:

    Thanks!
Well it depends what you think is advanced.
These techniques are not really advanced indeed(maybe the inchiyubi and eagles), but they are MORE advanced than the techniques in previous tutorials.
I dont think there are really advanced techniques in staff spinning.

  • imsoawsm0 says:

im just saying that its not advanced, as you state in the video.

and i said its still amazing that you learned all of this by yourself!

  • lordtains says:

what exactly are you trying to say?

  • imsoawsm0 says:

just because you look like a nice person im going to say this nicely. not that it would sound mean..

these techniques arent advanced, but i give HUGE kudos for learning them with what im guessing is no training??

  • TheDivineSoldier says:

i can’t wait for that 8 winged dragon tutorial to come out, looks very nice! i can do the EAGLES without the 360 palm spin, but that’s one thing i have trouble with is the 360 palm spin. either my hands have a rough build from lifting weights daily, or it’s my glove or something. but i tried everything in your 4th tutorial, i just couldn’t get it to keep spinning without it falling down.

  • erissecabo says:

this video is great… ur gud… wer u get ur staff from??

  • Shinobiofflame says:

Thanks so much for putting up these tutorials! They’re the most helpful so far, before i saw these vids I couldn’t even do a palm spin. they don’t really teach staff in my dojo, so this was the best.

  • jremo92 says:

I’m a drum major and i will seriously try and learn that …..cause it’s awesome!

  • jremo92 says:

    WoW! this video was awesome!

i really want to learn now….
