I agree on using oak but in my years of using nunchakus I’ve yet to bump into someone that could cut the string off them (though I use chain ones myself). I like the string cuz the chain rattles while it’s on your person so it’s a little harder to conceal. Don’t get me wrong though, the chain is kick ass but I think the string is just as good. It depends on the type of situations you’re likely to face.

a real good nunchaku is made of oak and chain.Your one can break up in a fight. I understand this is the fastest way to made but in a fight you can have unpleasant surprises.

by the way but nice moves

but i always thought nunchaku’s had to swivel so they dont tangle the cord or chain?

  • jmvicuna says:

no, the hole at the top ends when it has reach the first horizontal hole… so it will look like a letter “T” upside down

  • DenizenSx says:

That was a good video, 1 question, the hole at the the top goes down through both cord holes right?

very cool. i like how you added the nail to then bottom to give the nunchaku some weight at the bottom.

  • jmvicuna says:

the knot goes inside the top horizontal hole. There are many ways to string a nunchaku…. check this one watch?v=sclUDFS78q4

  • ugnieshius says:

doode, i just wanted to know how you hide the knot so it’s not on the side of the handle? do you drag it inside?

  • krazylevin says:

    Very wise. Keep it up.

  • jmvicuna says:

haha… the swiss army knife part was to show that it can be done with simple objects that you can find in your house, thats the reason why.

    good luck!
