1. do NOT use riveting reds. its awful. use john frieda’s radiant red.
2. use dry shampoo on your hair every day to cut down on the amount you wash it. try to not wash it more than 3x a week if possible. (if you can at all, cut down to 2x a week).
3. ONLY use cold water when you wash your hair. never ever use warm or hot water. this strips the color.
4. you can do a dye rinse in your shampoo. just google it and it’ll give you the steps.
ive never used HiColor before.
So, I died my hair with HiColor, I just used “Red Hot” instead of the one you use, and i have naturally oily hair so i have to wash it basically every day, or every two days, so my hair faded, but it still has some red parts in it, and it was about 3 weeks ago when i died it, for the Riveting Reds shampoo and conditioner, should i use that? like would it make my hair keep the red for at least a little bit longer?
hi…i saw your video and loved your color so i went to sallys and got me the same color….i had red hair already so i used it for touch up and i used the 30 oreor..i put it on my roots first then to my whole hair..idk what happened but my hair turned orange and my roots turned red..it was disgusting..do u have any idea what went wrong because regardless i still love your hair thanks..

@stephwillxeatyou i dye mine every two weeks, but its a bit much. just be sure to switch to like 10 volume developer for touchups

but how often do you have to dye it?
you have the color hair ive been DYING for.
i did intense auburn 3 times, burgundy 2 times, and intense dark red once and can’t get the color i want.
whats the name of that dye, and where can i get it?

@joannepegg i don’t dye my eyebrows. i use a covergirl eyebrow pencil every day. ‘henna brown’ or ‘honey brown’

How are you liking the Riviting Reds shampoo? It dried my hair out so much.
I got an Ulta brand red shampoo and color glaze that I am going to try out soon. My hair is super red though, since I am naturally a dirty blonde.
