Good to know. I’m sure your LT looked awesome!

I usually run a little oil through my hair in the mornings to keep it moisturized & aside from that I condition it every time I wash it – I’m pretty easy when it comes to maintanence :] But I don’t clip it when I retwist (1 or 2 per month) so after I wash I get a lot of fuzzy new growth that comes undone so I really need to use clips so it will hold longer or use a tool like you showed in one of your vids. By the way, I wore the lobster tail on a date last night – it looked great! :]

That’s awesome! To be honest, I don’t do anything to keep my hair smelling or looking good other than tie down my locks with a scarf every night and spritz them with water every morning. I’ve minimized using my peppermint e.o. in my spray bottle because it’s been causing my scalp to flare up lately. What do you do? :-)

Hey girl, I have two yr old locs & I’m a runner (30 miles/wk) so I wash my hair about three times per week. You said you only wash your hair once a week, what do you do to keep your hair smelling & looking good in between washes? Thanks!

You can add a pin on top of the bun to jazz it up too.

love your hair and this vid- it was very thorough!

  • DynamicRunner says:

Thank you! My hair was 12 inches long when I first locked it, so if you fast forward 2yr.3 mo. later, they are a little longer than the length my hair was before locking.

Your dreads are nice but I kinda want the fat dreads. How long did it take to get your dreads that long in order to do that style? Great tutorial by the way!

  • DynamicRunner says:

Thank you naudialisa! I do have SLs and I really enjoy them. The lobster tail is a fun style, so play around with it! Let me know when you begin your locking journey so that I can track it. :-D

Wow!! You and your locs are gorgeeeous!! I’m going to get mine (leaning towards braidlocs) soon…it’s been just over a year since my last perm and baby, my hair has made me go through some thangs this past year!!!! May I ask what type of locs you have (sisterlocks, etc.)? Oh, and the lobster tail is bangin’, I can’t wait til I have my locs and they’re long enough to do this!!!! Thank you for your posts!

  • msbarb1 says:
