@SuperEvita77 Que raro. Tylose es bastante conocido en USA por personas que trabajan mucho con cosas delicadas en azucar. Yo lo tengo en mi website, pero estoy segura que debe haber algun local en Cali que lo tenga.

@cNd2gether YES, but I still would place inside a ziploc bag

  • cNd2gether says:

can you use a glad wrap to seal in the moisture

  • makuda65 says:

if i dont have tylose can i substitude it with 12 tsp gum text… thank you fo r your responsd….

  • tonedna1 says:

@mmmdenha it really depends on humidity and how big is the piece you are working on. The bigger it is the longer it takes to dry.
    Edna :)

how long does it take for the gumpaste to dry after i make something out of it?

  • Naviti7 says:

@tonedna1 Thank you Edna! You are so kind to always answer our questions. I will try that next time.

  • tonedna1 says:

@Naviti7 Make sure you use extra large eggwhites. If you want, ffor next batch save more sugar instead a cup save more, and add the sugar as needed. If the batch you have doesnt knead well together, make a softer batch and combine it, that way you can save it.

  • Naviti7 says:

I just tried this and followed it exactly and it was nothing but dry clumps coming out of my bowl– before kneading. I have no idea what I did wrong… any suggestions? I placed it in the fridge anyway just to see if it takes care of itself.

    Thanks!

  • tonedna1 says:

@diabeticgurl I sell it in my website, and other companies in the internet sell it too.
    Edna :)

Where did you buy the tylose? I’m in Canada and can’t find it anywhere!

  • mahassine55 says:

Question: Can we replace the Tylose with something else!?

  • tonedna1 says:

@DaDorkiieWeirdo No, by the time the flower is dry there is no problem with that.
    Edna :)

  • DaDorkiieWeirdo says:

wont there be diseases from the eggwhites? dont we have to cook it? haha thats my only concern. thank you very much

  • tonedna1 says:

    @maryfaaye Yes you can!

  • maryfaaye says:

Can I add colors to this gum paste?

  • johnmac1221 says:

I love your videos Edna….You are adorable by the way :)

I have a question…Is it ok to use Wilton’s Gum-Tex in place of Tylose with this recipe? I have Tylose Powder on order, but I want to make some gum paste today for a project this weekend.

    Thank you

    John
