I AGREE with iliruzannablogspot! Not only do they look amazing and tastes horrible. They are EXTREMELY expensive to make and sell!

    Thank you

I would frost and fondant it after you go through piecing it together.. and maybe use a cake reciepe that’s less crumbly? Otherwise the cake might startto fall apart underneath!

    I like this.

  • alswink says:

How big are each of your layers? 2in or 3in?

  • iliruzannablogspot says:

these cakes, look amazing, but taste horrible =( its sad..

  • SassyCakes09 says:

how long do you freeze them for? or do you freeze and defrost?

  • belanneman says:

Nope. I make very moist muds and as long as you carve them when half frozen and use proper dowelling for support when stacking (with supporting plates) it’s absolutely fine. Looks great AND tastes fantastic.. :)

LOL! I have that same cake round table/spinner. 2! One small and another larger.

  • RUNWAYMODEL5 says:

Beautiful job! But what about people like me? I make SUPER moist, melt in your mouth, stick to your roof of your mouth cakes.

Wouldnt my cake go kerplunk? lol. I’d have to make it dry as cardboard, right?
The look is nice, but what about the taste?

Wouldn’t putting icing between cakes make them stick together making it harder to take apart when cutting? I made my first fondant double layer cake recently and was very upset at how the layers stuck together when we tried to take it apart to cut. Very beautiful work. I shall try the topsy turvy. Very helpful video

Hello I am called Celia, am Spanish and I have been charmed with the tart that you have done. I have seen more videoes of these tarts and I would like to be able to do it in my house. I ask them that if podréan to put all the ingredients that habeis used to make myself the tart stepwise and especially it would like to know does to the cap that you throw(add) above in order that it(he) remains perfect. I hope that you could help me. A greeting.

Did you chill the cake before you added the top layers? I mean the icing looks hard enough?

  • darkroge says:

as long as you use layers of cake then and size will work within reason as small cakes may be hard to ice and limit decoration

  • ashleebel says:

Hi there, I was wondering if I could make a topsy turvy cake with any size cake pan… for example a regular 8 inch… and if I just stacked them to make it higher then go smaller.

If you could please answer I would greatly appreciate it.

    thanks!

If I don’t use fondant and I just ice with buttercream, would it be okay to store in the refrigerator or freezer? Would the buttercream sweat like the fondant does? I’ve never frozen a finished cake before!

  • iyouchan says:

Are the dowels edible or is it made of wood? Sorry for ignorance, I’ve never baked before. Seeing you do this is very inspiring. Great job. :)

  • canityounitt says:

how did u make the icing?

  • janellscakes says:

I love dulce de leche. People here just prefer their cakes iced in buttercream. It’s hard enough convincing customers to try fondant. :)

  • janellscakes says:

    Great! I’m glad it helped!
