misschievous, I mostly only use foundation, concealer and blush when I go out. But on a day to day basis, I only use powder, just to matify my face.I was wondering, what kind of mac brush I could best use for just applying powder. (I think where I live, mac is the only line of brushes you could recomend me, that I can buy here) And I also wanted to ask, which brand, and line of powder you like best. And also, which MAC powder would you recomend me to use, If I’m using only the powder on my face?

MissChievous, thanks for the really clear and informative video.
I’m quite a beginner so I really like the detail and your well-justified opinions.
Watching the video this time round, the comment about matte vs shimmery blushes helped. I bought a shimmery blush a while back, when I hadn’t really started to think about the matte vs shimmery distinction, and was beginning somehow to feel it wasn’t right, that with eyeshadow it looked too ‘heavy’. I guess I’ll be buying a matte blush soon…!

Really helpful! I’m going to this big galla, kind of like a prom, and have never been able to really put on a good make-up foundation, but THIS really helped :D Thank you!

no, im pretty experianced with makeup too. Ben Nye is a really good brand but for foundation and stuff like that you can use drugstore brand. they work really well too.

  • pao88tica says:

would you say its better to buy expensive makeup rather than the normal (drugstore) makeup, like does it help your skin??
because i usually dont spend that much on makeup, im i doing wrong for my skin?

I just watched both these videos. You had a lot of great tips and though I knew most of this already, you kept me captivated and entertained the whole way. I love the idea of putting liquid foundation that comes in a pour-bottle into one with a pump! What a great idea….I need to find a pump bottle now, lol. Great video Julia, Keep up the great work!

I haven’t purchased it, but I hear the Quo face primer is good, and you can get it at Shoppers (if you live in Canada) for under $20

Thanks to your recommendation, I have finally found a concelaler that works for me. Belive me, I have tried them all, you name it and I probably have it! That Ben Nye wheel is my dream come true!!! It does it all for me! It covers my dark circles, illuminates me AND it doesn’t crack on me making my under eye area look dry and tired and old. I’m in love!
I also got the contour powder and the setting powder, among other products, and I’m loving them all… Thanks so much Julia! You rock!!
