**Note: Rude comments will not be posted, so don’t bother. This is an awareness campaign on teenage pregnancy and it’s resulting responsibility–a BABY. My teenage daughter, along with many other teens around the world THOUGHT she wanted a baby and that it would solve all her problems. I was happy when she took Child Growth and Development in school in 9/2010. One of her projects was an assignment to take care of a newborn under three months…a fake electronic baby simulator by Realityworks Realbaby. She got a wonderful REALITY CHECK about babies. I didn’t know she’d recorded this and she’d forgotten about it. I stumbled across it on my computer and just had to share it with the world!! This baby can detect how you treat it and handle it…it can tell if you burped it, fed it, cuddled it, and if you changed its “diaper.” She wore a bracelet and it had one too and it could detect if you left it unattended. Funny thing is the baby comes with two “diapers” and they’re supposed to be different colors because each has a different sensor in it indicating it’s been changed. The teacher inadvertently issued my daughter two diapers of the SAME color…which meant the baby would keep crying..(it would eventually stop…but it took way longer had the right diaper been administrated). Anyway, it’d wake her up all night…and I’d hear her yell, “Mooooooommmmmmm, help me” from time to time. I’d just giggle. One time, she came through the living room with a bath towel wrapped around …
@thefashionister Yes, EVERY high school needs this program. It is very stressful to have a child at any age…..for some reason many teens think having a child will give them all the love the are seeking and happiness… Thanks for commenting!!!!
i agree every high school needs this class, I think they need to get rid of the new Magnetic bracelet and bring back the Keys, back in my day….ROFL (god i feel old) anyways the key was annoying as helll.
@bobwinkerbean ROFLMBO…I didn’t know about the keys…that is funny… I loved it with this dtr as teacher gave her wrong electronic diapers and baby never thought it had been changed…EXTRA cry time….lol. I told her a REAL baby doesn’t always stop crying when diaper was changed…so she got an extra special lesson. No more baby wanting talk from her! LOL. Thx for commenting!!
Don’t you think you should be thinking about your future and planning on college then having a career first before you think about boys and babies? If you think this doll is bad and by your own Mouth you say it’s driving You Crazy what about a real baby for the next 18 years? You haven’t even begun an adult life yet to see what that is like being an independent woman on your own,you have a baby and your life is over before it even starts, and don’t go crying to your Mother for help grow up first
@Maskedman46 Amen…my same sentiments in comments! There seems to be a trend occurring amongst teens in high school right now…pregnancy pacts. I PITY their choices! Babies can wait…boys can wait. Find yourself….focus on career… A child does NOT make your life better nor does it give you the love you think you are seeking. It is responsibility…and one that you are NOT ready for until you are older…and wiser! Thank you MM for watching, commenting, and sharing wisdom!
Those babies are so annoying but that’s what makes them do what they are meant to do, make kids realize how much work being a parent is, and they sure do their job well..
I had to do this for my Child Development class in high school. Most exhausting
weekend EVER!!!!
oh my god i have the baby simulator this weekend i want to kill it and my self!!
@Maskedman46 P.S….also, as a mom, this was a good eye opening experience being a high school project; however, my only wish is the students keep it for longer than 2 days!!!!!!! Thanks again MM!!
@mysweet6teen1234 Yes, and in real life…you have to stay up all night tending and feeding the child and in the daytime…go to work and/or school. I’ve had 4 children and I’ve been exhausted every day since 1985 when the first one was born….lol. Enjoy your life….go to college and get that career first.
@iluvhermitcrabs18 ….and for all the teens to think about, once you get a REAL baby…you will have it in your care for 18 years…to feed, clothe, shelter, direct.
@underworldluver No one should have a real baby until they can care for it with love. It’s a sacrifice..your freedom, rest, and time for a child created by two loving adults to come into this world!!! 18 years minimum of taking care of it…NOT worth it, until you are financially and mentally ready for it. Enjoy our life while you are young and get a secondary education…you’ll be glad you did. Best of luck.
We need those at our local high school, I couldn’t deal with a fake baby, much less a real one.
