We have one of those (Graco Angelcare Monitor). It is a movement sensor that’s sensitive enough to count breathing as movement. It was expensive ($100) but it was worth the money not having to worry if our baby stops breathing at night. I highly recommend getting one!

Thanks! This was a great help … my teachers might not get annoyed when I take my baby into school with me now :D … If they do get annoyed I can leave her at home to sleep by herself all day now!

Letting a baby cry to sleep isn’t the right way, but getting an older baby to cry for 15 mins or so before coming in and trying to soothe them again isn’t bad. It builds trust when you come back in, and they’ll realize that mom/dad isn’t far.
